Woodstock court house security check turns up meth



A man has faced charges over his ill-fated decision to try to bring drugs into a Woodstock court.

SWAT officers were conducting security checks at the entrance to the courthouse on Tuesday morning, according to the Woodstock Police Department. They stopped a man about 9.50am and found what appeared to be drugs on him.

Police were called and an investigation determined the drugs were methamphetamine.

A 64-year-old man from Mitchell was charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance.
