Drug and weapon charges laid following Grey Highlands break-in

A break-in into Gray County resulted in one person being charged with weapons and drugs.

On November 8, Grey Bruce OPP attended the incident on Grey 2 Road, Grey Heights, where the suspects were located and arrested.

Police said they found a black BB gun, ammunition and some suspicious controlled substances, valued at about $5,980, during a search of the suspect.

A 25-year-old man from Grey Heights faces a total of eight charges.They include; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unlawful possession of an instrument, two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, motor vehicle occupant with knowledge of a prohibited device or ammunition and possess a Schedule I substance

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in Ontario court in Owen Sound at a later date.
