Popular coffee franchise to offer drinks to veterinarians and armed forces personnel

Tim Hortons will be giving out free drinks to veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces on November 11 at all 4,000 locations across Canada.

Veterans and service members can stop by any Tim Hortons restaurant on Memorial Day for a free drink of their choice, the company said in a release.

Company President Axel Schwan said all Tim Hortons restaurant owners across the country wanted to take this opportunity to give back to those who made such a huge sacrifice for Canada.

“Every year, Tim Hortons and our 1,500 restaurateurs across Canada stop to reflect on the sacrifices so many veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces have made for Canada,” Schwan said in the release. “We look forward to greeting veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces on November 11, thanking them for their service, and offering them a free hot drink to show our appreciation.”

Free drinks of any size will be provided to those in uniform or with proper identification.
