The Association of Realtors in Gray Bruce Owen Sound reported a 44 per cent drop in home sales in October compared with a year earlier.
However, prices fell slightly while supply increased.
By October 2022, the MLS Home Price Index composite benchmark price edged up 4% from last year to $569,100.
“The benchmark price for a single-family home was $573,000, up 3.5% year-over-year in October. By comparison, the benchmark price for a townhouse was $570,400, up 16.1% from a year earlier, while the benchmark condo price was $361,700, an increase of It was up 12% in the same period last year,” the October report said.
The 375 new listings were the largest number of properties for sale in October in a decade. Compared to October 2021, new listings increased by 28.9%.
