A group of local male celebrities will hit the runway in support of the Kidney Foundation.
The Sarnia-Lambton chapter is hosting its annual celebrity men’s fashion event at Club Dante on Thursday night.
Organiser Elaine Hayter said this was the 10th and final year of the event.
“The people who were involved this year were so excited to finally be able to go out. We wanted to do the event in May, but it didn’t happen. We were just looking forward to that — there were some appetizers and raffles,” she said. “Thursday night is sure to be fun. VIPs get front row seats and the rest are around the runway.”
Tickets are $60 and open at 1330 London Road at 6pm.
Hite, who retired from the Kidney Foundation in June, said she had to come back to help with her favorite event.
“We’ve done a very, very good job with this event over the years and we’ve borrowed ideas from the London chapter. The existing committee has been around for 10 years.”
The eight participating models this year include Anthony Tofano from Tji Multi Trade Contractors, Chuck MacKenzie from MacKenzie Oil, JD Power from Ron Clark Motors; John Vargo from Sarnia Chiropractic, Sarnia Firefighter Roy Eddleston, Ryan Straus from Nova Chemical, Sign Dave Pellegrini of Here Graphics, and finally Mick Jackson of Assante Wealth Management.
They will also be hosting raffles, a live auction and their famous wine cooler, Hite said.
