Nikita Dragun’s PR representative, Jack Ketsoyan, released a statement following the 26-year-old YouTuber’s release.

“The situation in which the legal woman Nikita was placed in the men’s cell of a Florida prison is very disturbing and dangerous,” he said.
In addition, he noted, “This decision by the Miami-Dade County Department of Corrections is a direct violation of their protocol. It requires transgender prisoners to be classified and placed based on safety needs and gender identity.
Kesoyan concluded the statement: “Nikita has been released and is now safe. Thank you for respecting her privacy during this time.
In addition, Dragun was detained after allegedly causing a disturbance at the Goodtime Hotel in South Beach.

However, during the course of the court proceedings, it was revealed that the content creators were being held in the prison’s men’s section.

Social media users react to authorities’ sexism over Nikita Dragun
Netizens described the situation as frightening. Some acknowledged that, despite her controversial history, her human rights should not have been abused in this way.
“You really don’t need to state how much you dislike Nikita Dragun before sympathizing with her being put in a men’s prison,” said one user.
Also, another noted, “Nikita Dragon faces human rights violations for being in a men’s prison. I don’t think at this point, whether you personally like her is the point.
One chimed in, “So Nikita Dragun is in a men’s prison, and I think it’s important to remind people that this treatment is tantamount to convicting a trans woman for serial rape.”
