Scott Garman faces two charges related to child pornography

A Victorian estate agent has been charged with child pornography.

Garman Group attorney Scott Garman has been charged with making or publishing child pornography and one count of importing/distributing child pornography.

Each charge could face up to 14 years in prison and a minimum of one year in prison.

The crimes took place on May 4, according to court documents. Garman has appeared in Victorian courts several times since August and his next court date is November 24. At that point, the defendant will choose how he will be tried — either by a judge or a jury.

As of Thursday morning (November 10), the Garman Group website is down.

Black Press Media has contacted the BC Financial Services Authority for comment regarding Garman’s real estate license. The service regulates real estate professionals and other financial services.
