One of two COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics in the London area was unexpectedly forced to close on Friday.
Middlesex London Health United announced that the site at the Caradoc Community Centre in Mount Brydges had to be temporarily closed for the day due to “unscheduled maintenance work”.
“Health department staff are attempting to contact customers who have appointments for vaccinations today,” the health department said in a statement.
Those planning to get vaccinated at the Mount Brydges clinic on Friday are encouraged to visit the mass vaccination site in the Western Fair precinct or the pop-up vaccination clinic at Westmount Shopping Centre. No appointments are required to travel to either of the two locations, the health department said.
The vaccination clinic at the Caladok Community Centre is expected to reopen at 11 a.m. Monday.
Additional COVID-19 information, including a full list of vaccination clinics in London and Middlesex County, can be found on the Department of Health’s website.
