On Friday, Labor presidential candidate Peter Obi warned Nigerians not to play identity politics next year.
He made the proposals during a visit to Benin’s Obaobaeu II as part of his consultations with prominent Nigerians ahead of the 2023 general election.
This Labour Party A presidential rally was held in Edo state on Friday.
The rally took the party to Ochi, the Senate constituency in northern Edo and Uromi in central Edo before rallying in the state capital, Benin City.
The former Anambra state governor insists his party is poised to take back Nigeria next year.

He stressed the need for good leadership in the country starting next year.
Obi said: “We want to save the country from the current plight and that’s why we have been going all over the country. Now it’s up to Nigerians to take back their country from the few.
“Next year’s election should not be based on race, it should not be based on religion. We want the government to be accountable, and we will.”
