News that the naira rebounded 20.8% to 720/USD in the parallel market woke up Nigerians.
Recall that last week, the naira fell to 880 naira per dollar in the street market.
The deterioration peaked at N900 per dollar, as quoted by some dealers.
Some have had mixed reactions to this development as they bought dollars at around N800 but now have no choice but to sell at a lower price.
However, some were delighted as it showed that the naira showed more purchasing power.
Check out how Nigerians reacted:
The dollar has fallen o. Lower the price of your product.

The dollar doesn’t crash, but market prices never crash.

The dollar rose and commodity prices rose.
The dollar fell and commodity prices rose.

First, let’s give the $1 back to the N400.

The dollar is falling against the naira, but prices of goods and services in Nigeria remain the same (very high! gh), so I don’t see what to celebrate about this news; also, the exchange rate was much lower before APC took over . This is not a victory for APC or CBN.

Obi’s investment in Anambra is now worthless β Soludo
In another hot-button event, Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo claimed that the investment claimed by the state’s former governor Peter Obi is now almost worthless.
Recall that the former Anambra Governor stated that he invested millions of dollars in international breweries on behalf of Anambra State while leading Anambra State affairs.
International Breweries (IB) Plc, a subsidiary of AB InBev, is a multinational beverage and brewing giant headquartered in Leuven, Belgium.
The latest disclosure sparked controversy on social media as the investment was seen as a milestone for Labor’s presidential candidate.
Check out how Nigerians reacted:
I am absolutely disgusted that Soludo is ignoring Obiano and accusing Obi of failing to hand over the investment to Obiano. He’s showing his dark side today, which I think is driven by his own presidential ambitions. He wanted to stop any Igbo from getting it before himself.
β Babatunde Gbadamosi (@BOGbadams) November 10, 2022
If one had heard Soludo speak at Channels, one would have assumed he had succeeded Peter Obi, unaware that there was a full 8-year gap between their terms.
Why does Soludo keep referring to Peter Obi’s tenure and not previous governors?
β Fearless (@iamfearlessking) November 10, 2022
I heard that Soludo recently secured over N268 million in oil derivatives from Peter Obi’s N4 billion investment in Orient Petroleum in 2012. This is one of his many investment initiatives on behalf of Anambra state.
Did he (Sorudo) admit it? Do not.
A very naive guy!

Peter Obi’s presidential ambitions do expose many who have vowed not to @CCSoludo is one of them. Soludo did all kinds of evil to Ngozi Okonjo Iweala but she prevailed as DG WTO pic.twitter.com/XRhSd9fr1Uβ I’m ify (@ifeanyiakorjuru) November 10, 2022
With regard to Soludo’s statement, I will ask two basic questions. Why was it valuable when Peter Obi left office, but worth nothing now?
Why was ex-governor Willie Obiano marched by EFCC for financial impropriety?β Kaysie (Tinubu’s worst nightmare). (@thekaysie) November 10, 2022
Soludo’s talk of Peter Obi is similar to Graham Potter’s accusation of Jose Mourinho’s failings at Chelsea coaching.
