Windsor woman has double the luck with Daily Keno

A Windsor chef won not once but twice while playing OLG’s Daily Keno 8 Picks game.

Rosemarie Sablone, a wife and mother of one child, played two games of Daily Keno for $2 each. Both matched 8 numbers for $50,000 each for a total of $100,000.

“I’m a regular lotto player. I’ve been playing for about 30 years. I always play my numbers, it’s birthdays,” Sablone said as he picked up his cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

Sablone asked her husband to check the OLG app to see if any numbers matched the draw on the night of October 7.

“When he scanned them, he could barely speak. He said, ‘You won,'” Sablon said. “At first, I thought it was a small win, and then he said, ‘No, you won $50,000 on both tickets!’ We were all excited and started dancing in the living room,” Sablon said.

Sablon said she will use the winnings to help her son, pay off some bills, and go on a trip.

She picked up her winning ticket at P-Jay’s Video and Variety on Walker Road, Windsor.

Daily Keno players choose their strategy from 2-Pick to 10-Pick, and choose a bet between $1 and $10. Figures are drawn twice a day.
