A Langford business wants the community to help keep children warm this winter.
JKS Realty is collecting winter coat donations for children, from toddlers to teens, for the Victoria Coats for Kids Association.
“I have three daughters and four grandchildren. So right away, I was like, ‘I can’t imagine how cold winter is going to be’ — especially now that everyone is short of money…so if we can help, it’s a great way to be involved in the community. It’s a good feeling,” said Charity Nash, business development manager at JKS Realty.
Nash said the community has responded well and is hopeful more donations will come in now that the weather is starting to cool.
Coats can be dropped off at JKS Realty’s Langford offices at 107-847 Goldstream Ave., Shawnigan Lake offices at 104-1760 Shawnigan Lake-Mill Bay Rd. or picked up by Nash by calling 250-391-8484.
Coats for Kids also collects coats, scarves, gloves and toques throughout the winter until mid-March.
