London police have announced charges against two men after a man was found unconscious in a city park over the weekend.
The pair were arrested earlier in the day in connection with the death of Daniel Joseph Fawcett, 52, of London, police said in a statement late Friday.
Police identified them as Craig Allan, 48, and Allana Lebars, 40. Allan faces one count of second-degree murder, while Lebars is charged with manslaughter.
Fawcett was found without vital signs in Gibbons Park, near Grosvenor Street, just before 7am on November 6. Paramedics tried to revive him, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene. Police upgraded the sudden death investigation to a homicide investigation a day after a preliminary investigation.
Both appeared in court on Friday. They were then re-detained while awaiting another court date.
