Bruce Power donates to local medical centre



Bruce Power has committed $100,000 to the new Teeswater Medical Center.

The donation brings Teaswater Medical Center’s total fundraising to $2 million, with an overall goal of $2.6 million. The goal of the project is to bring to the town a modern and fully accessible clinic with a pharmacy, doctors and other healthcare professionals. The project committee hopes to begin remodeling the existing physician’s office in spring 2023, with completion expected by December 2023. The committee is also actively recruiting healthcare professionals.

Since 2019, Bruce Power has committed approximately $3.65 million to local medical clinics and hospital foundations for projects including Teeswater Medical Center.

“This donation is another step in improving access to medical facilities and services for our residents,” said Paul Cronin, co-chair of the Teeswater Medical Center Construction Committee. “Thanks to our volunteers, local residents, municipalities, Through the efforts of the authorities and our corporate sponsors such as Bruce Power, we are making this modern facility a reality.”
