wanted man arrested in chatham

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man wanted for failing to appear in court.

Police said they found him just before 10.30am on Sunday while following clues about suspicious activity behind a building on West McNaughton Avenue.

The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and later released with a future court date.

Man arrested for DUI after crash

A Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges after he allegedly crashed his car on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham on Sunday night.

Police said they were called just before 6pm on Sunday, adding that they believed the driver was drunk, so they arrested him and took him back to police headquarters for further breath tests.

A 44-year-old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and was later released with a future court date.

CK police looking for stolen car

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a blue 2012 Hyundai Accent that was reportedly stolen from a house on Albert Street in Fort Wallace over the weekend.

Police said it is believed to have been filmed sometime between 12am and 8am on Saturday.

The car was last seen with Ontario plate CJYJ 746, and you can find a picture of it below.
