Man stabbed after trying to stop pair from breaking into his vehicle



Police in London have charged a man after he tried to stop two men who he claimed broke into his car at the weekend but was stabbed.

According to police, the homeowner was awakened by the sound of shattering glass outside his home in the Clarence Street and South Street area around 3:15 a.m. Saturday. When he looked out, he saw two suspects inside the vehicle.

Police said the trio got into a fight when the owner tried to stop one of the suspects. The victim was reportedly stabbed by one of the men. The two suspects then fled.

Police were called to the scene and one of the suspects was arrested nearby. A second was also found nearby with the help of the LPS Canine Unit. The two were detained without incident.

The owner’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

As a result, two London men, aged 20 and 22, were jointly charged with robbery. The 20-year-old is due to appear in court on December 22, while the 22-year-old is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
