Frontman Chad Kroeger and his bandmates Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and Daniel Adair will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next March 13 at the Juno Awards in Edmonton.
The 12-time Juno winner, whose hits include “How You Remind Me” and “Rockstar,” will also perform on the Junos Live.
The band’s inaugural announcement was part of a media event in Edmonton on Monday, and organizers said Calgary native Tate McRae will be one of this year’s performers.
They also confirmed the return of several Juneau Week events that were suspended during the pandemic.
The Juno Cup, Canadian Celebrity Hockey Showdown, Juno Songwriters Circle and Juno Fan Fare, an event where fans can meet musicians, are back on the calendar the week before the big show.
Canadian music manager Ron Sakamoto will receive the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award in recognition of his lifetime contributions to the country’s music industry.
