9 guns and 8 rubbish bags with magic mushrooms seized at rural property in Greenwood

Three arrested on charges under consideration by B.C. Attorney’s Office





Three people face possible charges after an investigation near Grand Forks led investigators to a rural property in Greenwood, where multiple items of firearms, magic mushrooms and marijuana were found.

In a statement the next day, police said in a statement the next day, specialists from the South East Division and the National Arms Enforcement Squad were assisting the Midway RCMP and other nearby units at a residence on Lind Creek Road on Monday (November 14).

Nine firearms, including a prohibited firearm, were seized, as well as eight psilocybin-filled garbage bags and two plastic containers containing suspected illegal marijuana.

Greenwood A 64-year-old man, a 35-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were arrested and released after a bail hearing, including conditions including not possessing any firearms or ammunition.

The identities of the three have not been released as no charges have been formally laid by the BC Prosecutor’s Office.
