Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Rick Byers recently witnessed the impact of a grant benefiting the Hannover Lions Club.
Hanover Lions received a $10,000 Community Building Fund grant from the province and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The fund was created to help nonprofit organizations deal with the impact of COVID-19. The funds are used for storage and rental costs for the Hannover Lions, as well as the purchase of new technology equipment and promotional materials to help with marketing and fundraising efforts.
Founded in 2008, the Hannover Lions Club have raised over $250,000 since their first project in 2010 giving back directly to the community. The club’s first major project in 2010 was a commitment of $150,000 for the initial construction of the P&H Center.
“Congratulations to the Lions of Hanover for this successful grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation Community Building Fund. The club does a lot of important work in the community and it is good to know that these funds will be used well to support their continued service delivered,” MPP Byers said.
