On Tuesday, the Perth County OPP reported a heavy police presence in Milverton after a person cordoned off a residence on Pacific Avenue.
Police were called to the disturbance at 10.07am. Pacific Avenue between Fulton Street and Davis Street is currently closed.
West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Dogs, West Region Tactical and Rescue Unit (TRU) and crisis negotiators are providing assistance.
Police said there was no threat to public safety, however, the public is asked to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
