Winter weather travel advisories have been issued for most of the region.
radar Showing the heaviest snowfall so far is from Goderich in the northeast to Brussels and Palmerton.
Roads in areas south of Huron and Perth are mostly covered in snow this morning, with slippery surfaces and reduced visibility.
On Amberly Road, north of Route 86, the road was bare and wet. Trails may be covered with snow.
The snow is expected to ease in the Lake District this afternoon before rising again tomorrow.
No road closures were reported.
