Wanted woman arrested at border crossing
A 50-year-old Walpole Island woman wanted by Chatham-Kent police and the OPP was arrested after appearing at the Walpole Island crossing.
Chatham-Kent police said they were notified by Canada Border Services Agency officers just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday that the woman was in custody.
She was taken back to police headquarters in Chatham, where fingerprints were taken and she was released to the OPP with a new court date.

Police allegedly find illegal drugs on wanted man
A 39-year-old man wanted for failing to appear in court is now facing more charges after police allegedly found a “suspected controlled substance” on him.
Police said they found out after arresting the man on Bland Avenue in Wallaceburg just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The drug discovery was the second, as police said the man had also been released before on the condition that he not possess illegal drugs. The third strike was that he was also wanted by the Lambton OPP for another matter.
A 39-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with drug possession and failure to comply with release conditions before being conditionally released to OPP with a future court date.
