Two arrested for assaulting each other

Chatham-Kent police arrested two people on Saturday following an ongoing investigation into bodily harm to the pair.

The pair were released from police custody pending a future court date.

Wallaceburg home is entered through a boarded-up window

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating a burglary at a Wallaceburg property.

Police responded to a call on Saturday to learn that a home with boarded-up windows had been broken into in the past week.

Police said the damage was caused inside the home.

Damage caused during a Chatham business break-in

Chatham-Kent Police are investigating a break-in after being called to a Chatham business on Saturday.

Police have been told glass doors and windows were broken, causing approximately $3,000 in damage.

Chatham-Kent police were called to a local motel on Saturday after reports of a disturbance in the building.

A drunk person allegedly damaged some property and attacked a person with a weapon, police said.

The defendant was arrested and taken to police headquarters before being released and fixed for a court appearance.
