The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the local government of Ogori Magono, Bodh Ogumorakogi, has won the state’s House of Representatives election on Saturday.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Mr Ekundayo Mejebi, the election officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, announced the results at the commission’s collation center in Magono.
He said the PDP candidate beat his closest rival, Major Akerejoka of the All Progressive Congress (APC), who received 2,162 votes, by 2,910 votes.
Also, Seyi Bello of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the Kabba-Bunu state constituency election.
He voted 11,226 people in an election that many observers described as peaceful.
Likewise, Jacob Olawumi of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been elected to represent Mopa/Amro in the Kogi State Assembly
Honey. Olawumi won the closely contested election with 4,389 votes.
