Police seek Windsor suspect in grandparent scam



Windsor police have identified a suspect following a scam targeting an Amherstburg resident, but they need help finding the woman.

Police from the Amherstburg detachment began investigating after the victim received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer, demanding $10,000 to release their grandson.

The suspect gave directions and said a court clerk would come and collect the money.

With the help of Ontario Provincial Police, investigators identified the suspect as 25-year-old Amaryss Hall Todd.

Police want Hall Todd to defraud more than $5,000.
