Sarnia man charged with impaired at border crossing

The Lambton OPP has charged a 46-year-old Sarnia man with driving unconsciously after being called to the Blue Water Bridge last week.

Police were contacted by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at around 3:30 a.m. Friday, saying a driver was attempting to re-enter Canada.

The suspect was taken into custody after undergoing a roadside screening test, police said. He was later accused of performing the surgery when he was in his 80s.

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
