Kitchener teen charged with credit card theft from Fergus



The Wellington County OPP has charged a 17-year-old man in connection with a credit card theft in Fergus in December.

On Dec. 9, two vehicles were broken into in the area and credit cards and personal identification were stolen, police said. One of the credit cards was then used to make purchases at a business in Guelph.

Officials have obtained surveillance video of a suspect and a vehicle suspected of being involved in the incident.

The 17-year-old Kitchener faces multiple charges, including theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and credit card theft, according to the findings.

The defendants are scheduled to appear in Ontario Provincial Court in Guelph at a later date.
