South Campus students will participate in a second event on Thursday following the successful test of the St. Clair College emergency communications system last week.
“This is just a communication exercise,” read a St. Clair College news release. “During this exercise, no one will run, hide or fight.”
The college said it received valuable information from a March 27 test alert from an active attacker on its downtown campus.
Students and staff should have downloaded the Alertus app for practice.
When students receive alerts in the app and on their computer screens, they will watch Academy-produced videos instructing them on what to do in an emergency.
They will be warned five minutes before the exam starts. After that the second message will be sent.
The same drill will take place at the Chatham campus on April 13th.
