A 60-year-old St. Thomas man suspected of sex crimes was arrested again on Tuesday after failing to comply with a release order.
Police said they had received a report of a “person known to be bound by a number of release conditions who failed to comply with those conditions”.
As a result of the investigation, Eugene François was reportedly taken to police headquarters, appeared in court and was detained again.
François was charged with 16 counts last year, including voyeurism, making child pornography and possessing child pornography. The charges are the result of a year-long investigation in which police determined the suspect secretly filmed his female music clients without their knowledge or consent.
In 2021, Francois was charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.
