The long-running Dungannon Super Pull will return this Father’s Day weekend, but it will be held at a new location to incorporate a growing number of events.
The Super Pull has been held at the Dungannon showgrounds since 2000, but organizers say it’s time for a change, choosing to move to Lucknow Kinsmen’s Graceland this year.
“This will be the first year the Dungannon Super Pull Pull and Demolition Derby will be held at the Graceland property,” said co-chair Lyndon Johnston. “There will always be some disagreement, but the biggest problem is that the event has outgrown the venue. We happen to be sitting on 60 acres in Lucknow, and we will use that to serve the event better.”
In good weather, the event draws around 5,000 people. Now with a huge property and 500 campsites available, growth is expected. Especially during the two-day race, starting with the brand new Demolition Derby hosted by Impact Motor Sports on Friday night. The derby will end with a combine smash, which Johnston said was self-explanatory.

There will also be more daytime activities on Saturday including the Zorb football pitch, bouncy castle, games and face painting. There will be shuttle buses running around town that weekend so campers can move around and even join in on sponsored swims at local pools.
While the location has changed, the event is still organized by the same group, Johnston said, so the name remains the same.
“There’s a core team of over 30 people who do a great job with sponsorships, they look after the track, they take care of the incoming drivers… our Kinsemen club, we’ve worked with them in the past and responded to them last year . We have a very good working relationship with this group. They have been putting on shows for over 20 years and they are a great group to work with.”
The Dungannon Super Pull and Demolition Derby will be held on June 16-17. For more information, visit here.
