Things to do in London over Easter weekend



As London prepares for the long weekend, here’s a list of venues that are open and closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Most retailers will be closed to celebrate the holiday, but there are some exceptions. For London, White Oaks Mall, CF Masonville Place, Cherry Hill Village Mall and Westmount Shopping Center will be closed on Friday and Sunday. Costco, LCBO, Beer Store and Labatt Brewery are also closed, as are most banks and grocery stores.

Some Shopper’s Drug Mart and Rexall locations will remain open over the long weekend, but the public is advised to contact the store to confirm hours before heading.

Government offices are closed on Friday and Monday, returning to normal business hours on Tuesday. Canada Post uses the same schedule.

No recycling or trash collection on Friday or Monday. Those scheduled for Friday pickups will be serviced on Saturday, while Monday pickups will take place on Tuesday.

Transport for London vehicles will operate to the Good Friday holiday timetable.

Public library branches will be closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday.

If you want to enjoy the warm weather and sunshine this weekend, there are plenty of festive events to choose from in London.

If you’re looking for something family-friendly, Storybook Gardens hosts their annual event Easter Egg Hunt Event From Friday to Sunday. Admission is $5 for children under 17, free for adults. Must be booked in advance.

Kustermans Berry Farm Similar events are held from Friday to Sunday, with many events planned each day.

Other Easter celebrations include Saturday at apron park in st thomas and German Canadian ClubThe Easter Bunny is also expected to visit Covent Garden Market on Saturday morning.

The National Service Dogs of London hosts a hunt for eggs for dogs Friday, so Londoners’ furry friends can join in on the Easter fun.

Several places host special Easter Brunches over the weekend, including Mount Boler on sunday and Recreation Room on Friday.

this Easter Palooza Jogging Race Saturdays at the BMO Center starting at 10 a.m.

Mustang Drive-In recently opened for the season, and they show movies nightly Thursday through Sunday. The theater will also hold an Easter egg hunt on Saturday and Sunday nights after the franchise opens.
