Whitley’s traffic stop leads to arrest
A 46-year-old man has become entangled with Chatham-Kent Police after he was stopped by traffic on Talbot Road East in Wheatley.
Police stopped the vehicle about 12.15pm on Friday and understand the driver is currently facing an outstanding immigration order.
The 46-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he was later transferred to the Canada Border Services Agency.

Wallaceburg woman arrested on outstanding warrant
A 25-year-old Wallaceburg woman got into more police trouble after a brief bike chase.
Officers on a general patrol spotted the woman on a bicycle at about 3:36 a.m. Saturday on Wallace Street in Fort Wallace.
Police said they tried to stop her, but she fled officers, just a short distance from an address on Wallace Street.
Police arrested the woman on a substitute warrant for failure to appear in court.
She was released shortly after receiving a court appearance notice with a future court date attached.

Woman arrested for criminal harassment, fails to comply
The long arm of the law has caught a 46-year-old woman following a dispute between neighbors in Thamesville last month.
Police said they received a call in March about a dispute on Sarah Street in Thamesville, prompting officers to call the police.
Officers arrested the woman for criminal harassment and failure to keep promises.
Arrest warrants have been issued.
The woman appeared in court at about 3.44pm on Thursday and was arrested on a warrant.
She was later taken to police headquarters for a bail hearing.
