Hanover Holds At Home, Series Tied At 1

The Hanover Barons bounced back with a 3-1 victory over the Forest Hill Patriots in Game 2 of the PJHL Pollock Division Finals.

This ties the series together.

The Barons opened the scoring at 14:54 of the first quarter when Curtis Arnold made a field goal while scrambling for the ball in front of the Patriots net.

Halfway through the second quarter, Forest Hills responded to the power play as Austin Griffin fired a shot over the shoulder of nets administrator Riley McCabe.

But Hannover scored on a strong drive early in the third quarter to take the lead. Arnold scored his second game and fourth of the playoffs with a laser of his own. The Barons would score empty goals late in the third quarter, shorthanded, to seal the win.

In the third quarter, the two sides’ tight defense in the middle zone limited opportunities.

McCabe stopped 27 shots for Hanover, while Vance Meyer stopped 24.

Game attendance peaked at over 1,000 people.

Game 3 of the series will be Sunday at Forest Hills at 7 p.m. CKNX AM 920 will broadcast the game.
