The emergency rooms (ER) at Wingham and District Hospital will remain closed until Sunday morning, according to a statement from the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance.
Urgent care closes at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night and does not reopen until 7 a.m. Sunday morning.
“Staffing shortages” were again to blame for the shutdown.
Local residents are advised to call 911 if urgent care is required, as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) can transport you to another hospital in the area.
Non-emergency situations can be discussed with a qualified provider by calling the Ontario Ministry of Health at 811.
