Woodstock woman charged in child pornography investigation



Woodstock police have charged a woman following an investigation into child pornography.

Members of the Woodstock Police Department’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit and the Criminal Investigation Service arrested a resident on Monday based on a preliminary investigation, according to police officials.

The 31-year-old Woodstock woman was charged with one count of possessing child pornography. She was taken back to custody by police on Monday for a bail hearing before being released.

The investigation is still ongoing, officials said.
