Residents of Chatham-Kent can express their thoughts on a proposal to create an off-leash area for dogs in Dresden.
The public can submit their comments on Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent website.
The consultation period ends Tuesday, May 2 at 4:30 pm.
DOLRA is a fenced area where residents can exercise their dogs off-leash in a controlled environment without violating municipal ordinances.
Dresden DOLRA is proposed to be located in the Tony Stranak Reserve.
According to the municipality, the land is owned by the St. Clair Regional Conservation Authority and leased by Chatham Kent.
All comments received will be included in a future report to the Chatham-Kent Commission for consideration of DOLRA designation.
Chatham-Kent currently has two DOLRA designations, including Happy Tails Off-Leash Dog Park in Wallaceburg and John Waddell Dog Park in Chatham.
