Human remains found along bank of Thames River



Police are investigating after a fisherman found human remains along the Thames on Monday night.

Members of the Oneida National Police and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Middlesex County were called to the River Road Aboriginal at around 6:20 p.m. on April 10.

OPP said the scene is secure and police are working with the Ontario Chief Coroner’s Office and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

An autopsy will be performed to identify the remains and determine the cause of death.

Police said the investigation is at an early stage and more information will be released as it becomes available.
