Pair arrested in south London homicide

Investigators have arrested two people charged in connection with the death of a man found near a south London park late last month.

The body of 36-year-old Levi Jordan Brown was found in a drain near Base Line Road West near Beachwood Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. on March 25. Police have been called to the area for welfare checks. The death was immediately deemed suspicious and later deemed a homicide.

On Tuesday afternoon, London police announced the arrest of two London residents.

As a result, Cheyanne Metatawabin, 29, was charged with manslaughter. She was arrested on Tuesday, while her co-accused, Christian MacGuyver Williams, 35, was arrested last Monday (April 3). He was accused of accessory after the fact and insulting the corpse.

Brown reportedly knew the couple. They remain in police custody pending an upcoming court date.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
