Stratford man charged in McNab Street stabbing



A 58-year-old Stratford man is in a stable condition after being stabbed at a home on McNabb Street on Monday.

The Stratford Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 hangup at the residence around 10:30 a.m. and found the victim on the front porch. He was taken to a local hospital by Perth County paramedics before being flown to the London Health Sciences Centre. He is still in the hospital.

Police arrested a 27-year-old Stratford man who was at the residence when they arrived. He is facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The defendant was detained to appear at a bail hearing on Tuesday.

Investigation is ongoing.
