Matthew House of Windsor is expanding in the west end to help support the influx of refugees in the area.
The new location will be in the former Sophrosyne House on Chappell Avenue. It will offer 11 rooms accommodating up to 40 people.
“This is a place where vulnerable men, women and children can come and heal, and when they do, they can quickly become self-sufficient contributing members of our community,” said Executive Director Mike Morency.
Matthew House hopes to raise $150,000 to help run and furnish the new store.can donate online.
It is expected to open on June 1.
