‘What a hiss’: Video shows driver backing up after Victoria Bridge lifts

Drivers go out of their way to avoid waiting in traffic

Many drivers have complained about having to wait in Victorian traffic.

Plenty of drivers waited as the Johnson Street Bridge opened for tall ships — but one driver tried to do something about the wait in a dangerous way.

A video posted by the Twitter account @JohnsonStBRDG shows a driver backing up and trying to exit the queue.

The driver of the SUV backed up as far as the intersection of Pandora and Wharf – and made a side turn – before recovering and driving back into the line.

The video features sarcastic music to highlight the driver’s dangerous behavior.

“OMG this is so hysterical,” responded one person on Twitter. “They must be losing their temper.”

The video can be seen in the tweet below.
