Brentwood Recovery Home receives Trillium grant

One of Windsor-Essex’s leading drug rehabilitation facilities has received strong support from the province.

Brentwood Recovery Home has received an $86,900 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to create an intensive curriculum and training program.

Windsor West MPP Lisa Gretzky visited the facility Thursday to see how the grant has upgraded operations.

“Congratulations to Brentwood Recovery Home on this transformative Ontario Trillium Foundation grant,” Gretzky said. “Brentwood and its staff now have the knowledge and technology tools to provide support and services tailored to our changing world. With the extensive training their staff have received, Brentwood can now provide the Windsor-Essex community with Better support and services. Professional development and training, along with the tangible tools already provided, will only lead to further innovative approaches and enhanced support for those in need in the future.”

The training program was completed by the end of March. The skills discussed will also be used to support project alumni, in addition to the services Brentwood already provides. Staff also benefited from new computers purchased with grants.

“This grant allows us to support the work of our employees by providing critical training and professional development,” said Elizabeth Dulmage, executive director of Brentwood Recovery Home. “This training will help them support the needs of our customers, our alumni and the community. We Congratulations also to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for 40 years of funding and building healthy, vibrant communities across the province.”
