Man indicted by Kelowna RCMP child exploitation unit for second time this year
23-year-old man arrested for possession of child pornography
The latest in a series of search warrants executed by the Kelowna RCMP’s Integrated Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old known repeat offender.
The man’s devices were confiscated and searched and he was charged with one count of possessing child pornography. He was convicted of similar offenses earlier this year and is in custody until his next court appearance on April 20.
“Our team of experienced investigators has the tools to fight these horrific crimes,” Cpl said. James Jenkins. “These criminals may think they can hide behind their computers, but our teams are committed and well equipped to drive these criminals from what they perceive to be anonymity. Our message to the perpetrators of these appalling crimes is clear, stop.”
