Earth Day means no fare
More people using public transport are seen as key to reducing the impact of climate change.
So this coming Earth Day, April 22, BC Transit is offering free transit.
“Earth Day highlights the importance of sustainability and encourages people to make choices that reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) and help protect our environment,” says a BC Transit news release. “Using public transport is one way of making a difference.
Transport services will be provided free of charge by Regional Transport Victoria, including handyDART services.
