VIDEO: Suspect smashes displays with hammer at Victoria jewelry store

Police are looking for a suspect in video of a hammer smashing a glass display case at a Victorian jewelry store on April 15.

Security camera footage showed the suspects walking through the store with multiple bags before they began smashing display cases and appearing to pocket items. Multiple staff at the store were then seen intervening and trying to restrain the man, some of them using chairs to do so, before the suspect proceeded to vandalize more jewelry counters.

Several people gathered around the suspect, who at times briefly swung the hammer at others before seeing the hooded man leave the store.

He was wearing a baseball cap, dark hoodie, tan pants and black sneakers at the time of the incident. The suspect was also carrying a gray backpack and a black duffel bag with red shoulder straps at the time of the incident.
