Charges laid after city bus stolen, crashed into mall construction barricade



A 38-year-old London man has been charged after a brief ride in a stolen city bus led to him.

A man allegedly stole from behind the wheel of the driverless London bus, which was parked outside White Oaks Shopping Centre, at around 2pm on Monday. The man drove the bus a short distance before hitting a concrete barrier.

Police in London were called and the man was safely arrested.

A London man has since been charged with dangerous driving and theft of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 23.

Police said no one was injured and the mall was not damaged.
