Owen Sound Transit has a brand new fleet of more convenient and technologically advanced vehicles.
Drivers have completed training to update the management system. Some of the new features include low-floor ramps for wheelchair access and a parking request button at each front entrance.
Travel planning is now made easier with banners overhead on buses showing route maps on the front and side of each bus. Additionally, riders can hear stop notifications via the interior and exterior speakers.
GPS and passenger tracking upgrades installed to better track bus usage and location in real time. The new buses can accommodate more passengers than before and offer bike racks.
The city’s bus system operates Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm
