RCMP investigating fatal shooting in rural Grand Forks

A detained man has been released, according to police





A 33-year-old man has died from apparent gunshot wounds at a Granby Rd ​​home. In Grand Forks Country over the weekend, according to a police release.

The B.C. RCMP Serious Crimes Unit is currently investigating.

Grand Forks RCMP were called to the residence at 2 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, in response to reports that a man had been shot.

Police and BC Ambulance Service personnel began life-saving measures, however, the man did not survive.

A 43-year-old man was detained at the scene and has since been released by RCMP.

Police said the pair knew each other and there was no risk to the public.
