Seventh-ranked Chatham Wildcats take home silver at Ontario Cup

Hard work and great effort paid off for the Chatham Wildcats Major Atom Boys in the Ontario Cup D5 Finals in Niagara Falls.

The seventh-placed team in their group of eight were unbeaten in pool last weekend, with their only loss coming in the gold medal match.

“The coaches are incredibly proud of the boys and their hard work and determination throughout the season,” a team release said. “Every game has its winners and losers. These boys are united through them all. Overall, their silver medal is a true testament to team effort!”

The team is coached by Tom Grochmal and Skylar Baylis and is supported by Chatham Optimists Club, Mike Haddy RBC Wealth Management, Mike Pretty MP Roofing, Jeremy Shadd SHADD Roofing, Nate Lucyk IG Wealth Management, Ian Cartright Chatham Mazda and Stuart Simpson Simpson support farm services.
