One injured after RCMP plane crashes at Whitehorse Airport

Airport temporarily closed due to crash, has since reopened





The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after an RCMP plane crashed at Whitehorse Airport.

An RCMP employee was injured when the plane crashed Monday morning, police said.

The airport was temporarily closed due to the crash and has since reopened.

The Transportation Safety Board said the plane was a Pilatus PC 12 registered with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

It is unclear if anyone else was on board the single-engine turboprop at the time.

The TSB said it was sending a team of investigators to Whitehorse.
